Ranky helps players organize padel matches, track results, and connect with other players.

Information We Collect

Account data: your name, email address, and information needed to sign you in securely.
Profile data: details you provide, such as your photo, description, birth date, phone number, nationality, gender, preferred court position, level, and external ranking ID.
Activity data: match and tournament participation, applications, guest names entered by organizers, venues, results, ratings, leaderboard entries, club memberships, and chat messages.
Notification data: your preferences and the device information and notification token needed to deliver push notifications.
Public ranking data: player, ranking, team, league, and tournament information from Rankedin, used in ranking features and linked profiles.

How We Use Information

To manage your account and profile and provide support.
To organize matches and tournaments, record results, calculate ratings, and display rankings.
To support club memberships and communication between players.
To send notifications in the app and, if you enable them, push notifications.
To maintain reliability, prevent abuse, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.

Legal Basis

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

Contract: to provide the account, profile, match, tournament, ranking, and chat features you use.
Consent: for optional processing where we ask for your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
Legitimate interests: to keep Ranky secure and reliable, prevent abuse, and preserve shared match and competition records.
Legal obligations: to comply with applicable law and valid legal requests.

Information Visible To Other Users

Your name, profile photo, description, age, nationality, gender, preferred court position, external ranking ID, level, statistics, leaderboard entries, and match participation and results may be visible to other users. Relevant match application details are also shared with other users. Chat messages are visible to users who have access to the conversation.

Device Features

Push notifications: you choose whether to enable them and can change your preferences in the app or device settings.
Calendar: when you add a match to a calendar, its details are sent to your selected calendar app or provider.
Photos: profile images you upload are stored and displayed with your profile.
Location: Ranky does not collect device's location.

Cookies And Local Storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain your session, and remember preferences such as language and notification settings.

We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers to operate Ranky, including:

Hosting and storage providers: to run the app and store account data, activity records, and uploaded images.
Authentication and notification providers: to manage sign in, account emails, and push notifications.
Platform and calendar providers: to deliver device notifications or add match details to a calendar when you request it.

We may also share information where required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect users or the service.

International Transfers

Ranky and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. When applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses, or equivalent legal mechanisms.

Retention And Account Deletion

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide Ranky, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Shared match and competition records may be retained to preserve other players' history and results.

You can request account deletion in the app or by contacting info@rankyapp.eu. Deletion through the app may require you to first resolve active matches, pending applications, or tournament entries.

When your account is deleted, we clear personal profile details, remove private settings and notifications, and replace your name with "Deleted User" in historical records. Match results, leaderboard history, and conversation records may remain for other participants.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection law, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

To exercise your rights, contact info@rankyapp.eu. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, or your local data protection authority.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and secure authentication, to protect personal data.
